We all stood around the gifts, waiting to open them. It was around seven, but with fifteen girls, we knew we would be up late.
Lily Anna got to go first. A gift was dropped on her.
Inside was a hat, boots, and a little horse.
She put the stuff on, and thanked whoever gave her the gifts.
She handed Joy a bag full of stuff.
She found a smock, which she put on.
Then she found more art supplies.
“Thank you Lily Anna!” She told her.
Joy handed Rachel a bag containing a jewelry box.
Inside was some earrings and lip gloss. Lily Anna was thanked, and Isabella handed a gift.
“Really?” Isabella said in surprise. “You got me a gift, even though I’m not staying?”
“Of coarse we did!” Mckenna assured her.
She sat down and opened it.
Then she hugged the nearest girl.
Riley sat down, her curls blinding her face.
Someone handed her a clip, which she put in her hair.
Someone handed her a gift, which she opened. There was a guitar and flute.
“Because you like music.”
Maria got a bag.
And a notebook, pen, and camera.
Maria handed Katelyn a bag.
She found a bunch of skating stuff, that she put on.
Katelyn giggled and handed Sandie a bag. She found ballet shoes, a book and nutcracker, and the same skirt that Katelyn had gotten.
Sandie handed Mckenna a gym bag.
Inside was a bunch of gymnastics stuff.
She waved the ribbon around.
Then she handed hope a box.
Inside was some hair stuff.
Grace got a box.
Inside were some yummy (Burnt) treats.
Then she found a baking outfit.
Eileen had a bag.
She opened and screamed. For inside was a doll.
Then she gave it a hug,
Marylyn got a key bored.
And Abby got a dog.
But Faith didn’t expect anything.
Though she got a pillow, jacket and jeans.
We left the gifts in the family room and went to make cookies.
The three of us made three different kinds.
Then we called them in to eat them.
We trotted up to hear the Christmas story.
Then we all got a book and went upstairs to read.
We were going to each read in out own bed, but instead we all got on the top.
It was a great Christmas Eve. I could only hope Christmas went just as well.
How did your Christmas Eve go?
